Aesop

Today I wanted to do a post on a brand Lex and I both love …. Aesop

We first heard about Aesop when we went to visit our friends Emily and Lawrence in London. They had an array of Aesop products in their bathroom which looked beautiful and I instantly wanted to try them out. They took us to the Aesop shop in Shoreditch the next day and Lex made his first (expensive) purchase :P

Aesop are an Australian Skin and haircare brand, they use a lot of natural plant based ingredients and have a very distinct style, the products look almost clinical and the Aesop shops are all unique in their design, it is clear that each shop design has been carefully considered and this is what makes it such a pleasurable shopping experience. Beautiful shops and beautiful products.

It is quite an expensive brand so if you want to try the products but aren't sure if you want to splash out on them, go to a shop and ask for some samples - in my experience they are really liberal with the samples they give out, you also get a ton when you make a purchase which is great to try all the different products and fragrances.

Another thing I should mention is just how knowledgable and helpful the staff are, you can go in and have a full skin consultation and they will talk you through all the products and what will work best for you. It is just a lovely shopping experience!

When Lex and I went to New York last christmas we went to 2 Aesop shops, one in Soho and one in Greenwich Village, so I have posted the pictures of the Greenwich village store below...

Here is our collection so far - the great thing about Aesop is that the majority of the products are unisex. The scents are not distinctly masculine or feminine because they use natural ingredients.

The body balms are intense moisturisers and smell lovely, Alex likes anything that smells of orange! haha so he loves the Rind concentrate Body Balm but my favourite is the Rejuvenate Intensive body balm as it is sweeter and more vanillary - It smells EXACTLY like Terry's chocolate Orange! yum

The cleanser and toner are so refreshing I love them

The lip cream is really hydrating, and the primrose facial hydrating cream is a lovely face moisturiser and smells like lavender so it is really relaxing, I like to apply it just before bed.

Hope you have enjoyed the post, I would love to know your thoughts on Aesop, have you tried the brand? do you have any recommendations?

 Love Bex xx
