Happy New Year!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. I wanted to share a few pictures from the last few weeks and to talk about what I am looking forward to in 2016.
Let's start with the run up to christmas ...
Well, by far the most exciting thing that happened was getting the keys to our apartment!!
On the 17th December (which was Lex's birthday, making it even more special!) we got the keys to our first home. We are in the process of having flooring put in and waiting for furniture to be delivered but we are getting there, and are close to moving in properly!
My little cousin Lucy made this amazing Baltimore Ravens cake for Lex for his birthday |
I went to the Manchester Christmas markets with Lex, my sister Lydia and Lex's sister. We had a lovely time but it was freezing cold!
We decorated the trees. We get a real tree from Delamere forest for the conservatory and have an artificial one for the living room
I had my works christmas night out in Chester, we went for a meal, to a few bars and then to a club. Make up wise I went for a festive red lip and dark eyes
On Christmas eve I went to the pub where Lydia works with Lex, Mum, Dad and my brother Adam. We had lots of drinks, chats and listened to christmas music until the early hours it was lots of fun.
On Christmas day, we had a the family over to ours for lunch and then more family visited in the evening. It was nice to see Adam, who came up from Leicester and nice for Lex to have another guy around! haha we have lots of girls in my family and there is only so much NFL talk I can take!
Me and Lex at another family christmas party |
For New year Lex and I drove up to Newcastle to visit my friends Ben and Al. Ben has an apartment on the quayside so it was an amazing spot to bring in the new year. We had amazing views of the firework displays...
... and an amazing view to wake up to on New Years day!
We then drove back home to start the New Year. With a coffee of course.
Top things to look forward to this year...
1. Moving in to and decorating our Apartment which should be at the end of January
2. Wedding planning with Em - lots of maid of honour planning to take place this year
3. Enjoying having our own place to spend more time with friends and each other
