Holiday in St Ives 2015

14:20

Hi,
Hope everyone is having a lovely summer. Last week I went to St Ives for the week and I wanted to share some pictures on here. We drove down to Plymouth after work on friday night so that the saturday trip to St Ives wouldn't be so long and we could stop a few times along the way.  Our first stop was Looe...

We then stopped at Polperro which was the cutest place complete with a cave and bunting!

We then travelled down to Bodinnick to get the ferry across to Fowey and then on to St Ives
We arrived at the house late afternoon, we stayed in Carbis Bay which is a 15 minute walk from St Ives and has some gorgeous houses which I would love to live in one day or have as a holiday home :)
This is the road the house was on, it's so exciting to see the sea as you turn on to the road.
The house was lovely it has 3 bedrooms for Lex and I, Mum and Dad, and My brother Adam and his girlfriend Zoe. Here are some pictures of the main living area and my fave bit ... the lit stairs haha

Balcony view
Breakfast on the balcony with my mum. Note to self - need a balcony!
We walked in to St Ives most days as it only took about 15 minutes and the walk is beautiful, I love coming through the trees and seeing the amazing blue sea.

On the first day we went for drinks at The loft which was lovely.

During the holiday we also went to visit some places that Poldark was filmed...  However the scenery was not quite so exciting without a hot topless Poldark ... [cue gif]

The next day we went to Padstow and went to Rick Steins, everything in the window looked amazing, I had to stop myself buying hundreds of Macarons however I did give in to an ice cream

Lex and I had a lovely beach day with My brother and his girlfriend Zoe starting on Carbis bay beach which was 5 minutes walk from the house.

We then walked over to St Ives and had a much needed beach nap
On the last day we drove along the coast, how amazing is the colour of the water! That is my favourite thing about Cornwall

While we were away we saw this print that we fell in love with so my mum and dad have kindly said they would buy us this framed print as a house warming present for our apartment. We are thinking of hanging it in the hallway, I can't wait to see it up :)

Are you going away this year? let me know in the comments
Thanks for reading
